Our Progress at Mi Casa Children's Home
July 23, 2006- Vision Becomes Reality
Our prayers for a "where" were answered in summer 2006 when we were given 5 acres of land for the Mi Casa Children's Home.

August 2006- Grading is Underway
Summer and early fall 2006 were spent grading and preparing building pads, levels and removing large boulders.

Fall 2006- Land is Ready to Build
By November , all the site prep had been finished.

Spring 2007 - First Dorms Built for Visitor's Center
During Easter break 2007, The King's Academy (Sunnyvale,CA) sent a team of 50 high school students to help us build the very first building at the Mi Casa Children's Home site: Dorms 1-3 at the Visitors Center (where our volunteer teams would stay)
July 2008 - Visitor's Center Gets Second Wing
King's returns and helps us frame, enclose and roof the second wing of the Visitors Center during their annual Servant Safari.
First Baptist Church, Stockton's youth group joined us during the hot summer months to install windows, insulation, sheetrock and begin our fencing.

July 2008 - Caretaker's Home Purchased
We were truly blessed in July as well, as Stockton FBC also helped us to purchase a used mobile home in which to house our on-site caretakers.
(You don't leave buildings unattended in Mexico unless you want the pieces to disappear while you're gone)
